IC7 Dash installed on a R32 GTR

Nissan R33 IC-7 Wiring Guide

This guide is designed to assist the installation of a Haltech IC-7 digital dash into an R33 GTST. Using this guide for any other vehicle may result in wiring errors and problems.
This guide assumes that the dash main power and ground come from the Haltech ECU's CAN cable, and that the user is completely removing the OEM dash from the vehicle.
The following diagram shows the IC-7 34 pin connector, and the related pin locations on the R33 dash cluster loom. Take careful notice of the plug keying to identify which plug is which on the OEM dash cluster loom. The plug view is from the rear of the plugs with the wires coming towards you. It is recommended to tap into the wires going to these plugs so that future removal of the IC-7 and reinstallation of the OEM dash is simple. There is ample room in the dash shroud for the harness and connectors to be tucked away behind the IC-7.

Note 1: The OEM dash converts the transmission's VR speed sensor signal into a digital signal before sending it out to the ECU and other vehicle control modules. As we are removing the OEM dash, the ECU now receives the signal directly from the speed sensor. This wire is NOT the 'Vehicle Speed Signal' wire that runs in the factory harness to your ECU. This is a new wire that must be added by the installer and then configured in the ECU.
ECU settings are as follows:
Edge Select - Falling
Sensor Type - Reluctor
Pull Up - Disabled
SPI Arming Voltage - 0.5v
Vehicle Speed Sensor Calibration - 4850 pulses/km (varies on wheel circumference and diff ratio)
Note 2: If the OEM vehicle systems such as speed variable power steering etc are desired to continue working, an ECU DPO must be configured to broadcast a frequency back into this pin. Currently, this frequency is unknown due to lack of on-vehicle confirmation. This is a new wire that must be added by the installer.
Note 3: This 100ohm resistor is added to excite the alternator regulator to charge now that the OEM dash charge light has been removed. This is the same ohm resistor fitted to the OEM dash and it is used if the charge light fails. This will produce a reliable 14.0v charge (13.5v under load). The resistor can be a regular 100ohm 1w resistor.
Note 4: As the transmission speed sensor was supplied with a ground from the OEM dash which has now been removed, install this loop of wire to supply ground to the sensor.
Note 5: This ground link is optional. It links the IC-7 sensor ground to the body ground which the Fuel Level and other dash sensors are connected to. It may increase sensor accuracy.
Fuel Level Sender Voltages: The following voltage scale can be entered into the ICC software to configure the Fuel Level.
